Context and objectives
Le bon clic needed a website capable of clearly presenting a hybrid SEO, marketing and communication offer while also providing a technical foundation for the future development of the business.
The project was designed from scratch with an SEO-first approach: architecture, user experience, content, multilingual structure, performance and security were defined before pages or dependencies accumulated.
The challenge
The website needed to remain fast, easy to manage and flexible enough to evolve, without relying on a page builder or a collection of premium plugins. It also needed to prepare French, Spanish and English architecture without uncontrolled duplication of the site structure.
The chosen strategy
The build was organised in layers: architecture and wireframes first, then the visual system and templates, followed by content and the functionality required for each page type.
UX design and architecture
- Dedicated wireframes for the homepage, services, case studies, blog, about, contact and booking pages.
- Clear hierarchy between SEO, Marketing and Communication.
- Reusable templates to avoid building every page manually.
- Responsive design based on a predominantly white interface, with blue as the secondary colour and orange as an accent.
SEO strategy
The architecture separates hub pages, specific services, case studies, editorial content and future local pages. This separation gives each URL a clear intent and reduces the risk of cannibalisation and duplicate content.
Custom WordPress development
The website uses a custom-built WordPress theme and a Core plugin that centralises content types and business data. Gutenberg remains available for editorial content, while templates automatically manage repeated interface elements.
This architecture avoids dependency on Elementor, Divi, WPBakery or another premium page builder and gives greater control over HTML, CSS, JavaScript and performance.
Performance, security and multilingual architecture
From the outset, the project incorporates performance principles, WordPress security, dependency reduction and consent management. The multilingual layer uses Polylang with a /fr/, /es/ and /en/ architecture.
Results
The first measure of success is the quality of the foundation created: multilingual architecture ready to use, reusable templates, a custom theme and no dependency on a premium page builder. The indicators associated with the case study reflect these structural elements without inventing SEO metrics before real production data is available.
